Are you eligible to take part in the

INIT II (Intranasal Insulin) Trial?

The INIT II trial is now recruiting! Keep reading to discover if you are eligible to enter the Screening Phase of this trial......

Do any of the following members of your family have type 1(insulin dependent, usually childhood onset) diabetes?

  • Your mother or father
  • Your grandmother or grandfather
  • Your aunt or uncle
  • Your niece or nephew
  • Your sister or brother
  • Your half-sister orhalf-brother
  • Your daughter or son

Are you aged between 4 and 30 years?

Are you available for four visits to a hospital in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth at 3 month intervals in the first year of the study and two visits per year for four years after that?

If you answered 'YES' to each of these questions, read on...

Have you ever been treated with insulin or oral hypoglycaemic agents?

Have you been diagnosed with diabetes?

Have you been diagnosed with vitamin D deficiency?

Are you currently pregnant, or are planning a pregnancy in the next 18 months?
